Lady Constance Cholmondley, of Quittendon Manor, suspects she will be murdered during the weekend house party she is about to host. She calls upon the services of amateur sleuth Peregrine Villiers, to prevent her anticipated demise. It's a farcical whodunnit with lots of surprises.
